Sunset Maternity + Newborn lifestyle photography session | Columbus, Ohio

This family was the SWEETEST!!! I love working with first time parents as they anticipate and then welcome the arrival of a new baby to their lives. I got to meet them at their maternity session {they were referred to me by one of my most loyal and fun families!} and we had a lot of fun exploring the park and talking about life before baby. Then they welcomed me to their home shortly after baby arrived and I was able to document some of their earliest moments as new parents. I have the BEST job. And kind, sweet, laid back parents such as these (oh and a super cute little man!) make it that much more enjoyable!!!

I’ve worked with this family for a couple of years now and they recently welcomed a newborn! While we wait for them to pick their “favorite” images from that session {they are still cuddling and snuggling and enjoying all the new changes!} we figured now was a good time to share their fall maternity/family + one year cake smash. These guys makes me laugh every time we get together and are such a fun, happy little family of now four!

I’ve watched this cute family grow from two to three… and now onto {almost} four! Although I usually prefer sunset light, we made morning light work and I still love how their session turned out. Little Warren, soon to be a big brother, entertained us all and we chased him all over the park. Lots of laughter and a fun morning… looking forward to meeting their newest addition in just a few weeks!

The Carrolls have been working with me since they were a family of two several years ago and soon, they’ll be a family of five! Although I love the golden sunset, sometimes littles do best in the AM so we met early and spent a Saturday morning laughing, collecting rocks and exploring the park. It was a fun morning and I’m thankful they let me tag along, soaking in these last few months before their newest bundle arrives!

Although we had some clouds and overcast instead of the golden glow we were hoping for, Brooke & Greg’s maternity session still turned out beautiful! Brooke was glowing in her gorgeous maternity gown and Greg was happy as a clam to participate in the photoshoot … and to be daddy. 🙂 I am excited to work with them again and can not WAIT to meet this little one!!

Words cannot express how happy I am for this adorable growing family! Leah and I have been friends for as long as I can remember and we were lucky enough to photograph her & Jason’s wedding one gorgeous fall evening a few years ago. I held my breath and hoped & prayed a little one would come along soon…. and I got my wish! Well, their wish, but mine too! 🙂

Leah & Jason’s maternity session was this past fall and I saved some favorites to blog when their little girl arrived. More recently, I got to spend the morning with them… while snuggling baby Quinn! They are going to be amazing parents and I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow in love!

The only thing better than a glowing sunset maternity session is when it is a dear friend and her adorable family! This momma and I have become close over the years through running, photography (I was blessed to work with her on her first baby’s first year!), and all things startup life (she also runs a small business). We met last week at Glacier Ridge Metro Park to capture baby #2 on the way and do one last photo shoot before baby Jack becomes big brother Jack. When you love a session and loved working with the couple and you get to see them again shortly to snuggle their newest little one… you feel like your job as a photographer is a total blessing. Erin was absolutely glowing and the two of them cuddled and laughed away the evening. The sun even peeked out towards the end and gave us some of that rich, golden glow.
