This adorable family of three has another on the way… so we figured we’d better share some favorites from Adeline’s one year session before she becomes a big sister! Life is hectic, the world is crazy… but this beautiful, smiling angel eating her cake is enough to make anyone smile. 🙂

I’ve worked with this family for a couple of years now and they recently welcomed a newborn! While we wait for them to pick their “favorite” images from that session {they are still cuddling and snuggling and enjoying all the new changes!} we figured now was a good time to share their fall maternity/family + one year cake smash. These guys makes me laugh every time we get together and are such a fun, happy little family of now four!

This may be one of our last documented “summer” sessions of the year, as fall begins to roll in and the colors go from light, bright and airy to deeper, richer tones. This cute little party-of-four has been coming to us as their family has grown over the years and we were excited to celebrate the youngest’s first birthday… and hang on to summer just a little bit longer!
I just can’t get enough of these adorably happy littles and their teeny tiny cakes! Baby Mia stole my heart in her peach lace and smiled away her session, showing off her pearly whites (how cute are baby teeth!). We had flawless morning weather and she finished her cake – well carried it around, more or less – just before the storm rolled in. It was a perfect start to my day and I had so much fun with her and her family, grandparents and all! Here are some favorites… Happy first birthday little Mia!!
This time last year we had a newborn baby boom… and now all our littles are coming back to us for their first year sessions! Although some choose to not do a cake, smash cake sessions are one of our favorites. 🙂 We used to frequently do them inside with a “studio” look… but with current Covid restrictions, we are playing it safe, keeping the babes outdoors and LOVING it!
I’ve worked with baby Olivia over the last year and her family couldn’t be sweeter. We’ve done four sessions now and I look forward to hanging out with them each time and seeing how Olivia has grown. She gets cuter by the minute and it was so fun to watch her toddle around, giggle, eat cake and just be adorable! This was also my very first session out of the spring quarantine so it was extra fun to see, interact and laugh with other humans! Enough chatter, check out the adorable Olivia Rose….

Sitter/six month session…
I’ve gotten to know baby Grace and her family well over her first year of life and every time, I’m blown away by how nice they are, how beautiful they are and how much fun I have hanging out with them! We kept Grace’s first birthday session sweet & simple and just met at their (gorgeous and full of natural light) home. We did a few “staged” photos in the front room, but mostly we just followed her around, capturing her as she is at this moment in time. Grace giggled, explored the Christmas tree, played with her big brother, gave me hugs and looked as cute as can be in her adorable mini sized outfits. You can’t get these moments back & she will never be this little again (cue tears!)… but thankfully, momma documented them and will have these memories forever. Happy first birthday Grace!
This cute little man LOVES his momma and didn’t want to let go of her for much of the session, so we had to get creative! We still got some ADORABLE pics of his chubby baby rolls & adorable smile! He loved his cake and let us know when he was “done” – just check out the last picture. 🙂 Had to share a few quick ones of this handsome winter babe!
Sweet & simple cake smash sessions are the best… just take a cute baby, give them a cake and snap away! Beautiful Isabel Mae got some glamour shots of herself first, consistently attempting to go explore and “walk off set” as her mom and I took turns laughing and trying to keep her still. Then we added in momma for a few, and finally it was time for the fun part! Little Miss Izz was super happy and although dainty at first, eventually dove head first into her cake. Happy birthday to this adorable one year old!
So excuse me while I brag about this adorable chunky babe ~ I literally just can’t take his perfection!
Baby Hagan is not only the CUTEST little guy you’ll ever lay eyes on… he’s also the happiest & absolute sweetest! I have loved cuddling & photographing him since he was just a few days old and was blessed to spend his cake smash with him. He NEVER stopped smiling and we had so much fun capturing his precious personality. Mom & dad tagged along and even hopped in for a few photos and a few (okay, maybe a lot of) bites of cake. Baby Hagan’s cake smash session was a success!
These tiny twin girls were the most adorable thing I’ve seen lately! Dainty, precious, adorable and wow did they like cake! I worked with them a few years back for big brother’s cake smash and was happy to hear from them again to document yet another first birthday milestone… this time double the fun! 🙂 We started outside at a nearby park for some family and individual shots, then headed inside for cake and more smiles!
